I didn't know Jon very well. But I do recall when he arrived in Edina he was his own person. Where most of us were into Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, I recall Jon knowing a lot about funk and early hip hop - something that was like a strange foreign language to us white suburban Twin City kids at the time. I regret not having gotten to know him better.

Sad news :( a very nice guy. I used to see him dance at First Ave and he worked for Prince for long time designing clothing.
