Rick was a great person and will be missed. Rick was always a good listener and respectful even when he didn't agree with someone. I can't remember a time Rick raised his voice in anger. I would loved to have played more rounds of golf with Rick, he was fun to be around. God Bless

Kathy & Family,
I am so upset with this news. Rick was one of my favorite people to ever know and work with. As one of the founders of Dataworks our purchase of DCD allowed us to meet and work with Rick and Bill. Rick managed with a steady hand which consistently displayed his character and ethics. I will miss Rick very much. He represented one of the great relationships of my personal and professional career.
My thoughts are with the family today.

Dear Kathy and Family,
Just heard about your loss and am truly saddened. My sincere condolences to all.
It was a privilege to count Borgie as a good friend growing up in Edina. The genuine article, always a smile and some comedy to share. Great memories with him, Andrew Hooey, Dunebuggy, Gug, and the "boy".. your brother Mike. God bless you and your family.

Love and family are so strong and weak at the same time. Hearts are built the same way. Sometimes they are so strong. Sometimes they need to be built up again. The building up again is a tough thing for a proud man. We need to change that in this world. Those with so much can ask for help too. We all need help in our lives. Rick did too. Ask and love will come running and all problems will be gone.
Love is love. Love is true. You are still circled by the love that surrounds you.

I was searching for the right words to say about Rick and thankfully came across Jenni Lawrence's comment, which is spot on. Rick indeed lit up the room and I recall so many times I watched him excite people and move them to achieve great things. He was simply one of the best leaders I've seen in my 27 years at Dataworks / Epicor.
Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies to Rick's family, who are in our thoughts today.

Dear Kathy and family;
Thw winds was knocked out of my sails when I learned today that Rick was not here with us any longer. I had just learned about Trisha developig a bump! It is not yet a year since I was trading emails with you and Rick over flowers for the big event. I am crushed even though we never did get to meet in person, so much fun both of you so warm.
I was all set to send you a smart aleck remark masked in congratulations on the great news. Rick will be missed.  May you feel the Lords strong warm arms wrap around you as you adjust to the change in your route. Fondly,

Dearest Kathy and the entire Borg family,
It was with very heavy hearts that we heard of the passing of Rick, who I have greatly admired since knowing him in school at Edina. His winning attributes of intelligence, ability, kindness, humility, sense of humor, and love and loyalty to his beautiful wife, family, and friends were constants that defined him and earned so much respect from us and so many others. We have nothing but the best memories of Rick! Our hearts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. With love,

I am so sorry to hear this sad news about Rick (or Ricky, as I remember him). Although I haven't seen him for over 40 years, Rick was my cousin. I remember a Thanksgiving get together at Aunt Mickey and Uncle Duane's house when I was a little girl. Uncle Duane bought tickets for Rick, Bill, Zane and I to go to All Star Wrestling at the Met Center. Since it was a holiday, it was a BIG EVENT! It was just the 4 of us... Rick was the oldest, so he was in charge.  In my "kid memory" it was one of the "best days ever"!!! Thank you Uncle Duane (in heaven), and I am so sad to hear about Ricky. Deb (Borg) Gauker

Dear Kathy and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I first got to know Rick as a baseball teammate in high school, and he continued as friend and teammate at St. John's. I've always appreciated how he took the time to show me the ropes as a freshman. For a man with his considerable talents, what always stood out to me was his humility and sense of humor--what a great guy! My family's thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Rick was a dear client of mine when he was at Epicor and we have kept in touch all this time. In this go-go-go life we live he never neglected to take the time to meet for a cup of coffee and let me pick his wonderful brain. The world is a lesser place with his departure. God's love and peace to his family and all who loved and respected him. -Erin Lutz

Borgie....It seems like only yesterday we were sitting in the LTD at Camper's Weekend with Evvy and Anderberg eating sunflower seeds, looking for Hafner, and listening to Foghat. We had the music so loud that Seasly, Wheeler, Hanson, and Dunebuggy could not sleep in the Winnebago...

Catching up on those no longer with us, getting ready for the E-W 76 reunion.

A lot of sad news.  Rick threw me the first curve ball I ever saw, a real athletic competitor.

Great guy, sorry to read of this Kathy.

At the reunion, we'll remember all of the great memories we all shared, and raise a glass to those no longer with us.
