Wow! This web-site is incredible! I'm in Wilmore, KY...a "Mayberry" town not far from Lexington.
The Lord catapulted me to Lexington in 1998 to help dear friends who had 3 children. Their oldest was 9 and very sick. She died June that year and I stayed to help take care of her brother and sister, then ages 8 and 4.
I moved with the family to Wilmore in 1999 and the short story is: I'm still here! Still helping...their 2 children are now 19 and 15. They have added 4 beautiful adopted ones that I care for daily. They are African American--black is beautiful!
Jo McKenzie, my friend and the mother of the children I care for, is the director of CornerStone International House of Prayer...a prayer movement with a goal of seeing live worship ascending 24/7. I am here to help her by taking care of her house and children as she leads. It is an incredible job and has been quite a journey, as all of yours have been.
God is good always. I am newly hoping to seeing you all in June. I'm iffy...but I'll try!
