Stephanie H. Baker, 59 of Elizabeth, N.J. departed this life on Oct. 31, 2012. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Nesbitt Funeral Home, 165 Madison Ave., Elizabeth, N.J. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services. A lifelong resident of Elizabeth, N.J., Ms. Baker attended Elizabeth public schools, graduating from Battin High School. After high school, she attended Kean College, majoring in elementary education. Stephanie retired from the Elizabeth public school system, where she taught for 32 years. She was predeceased by father, Stephen H. Baker, mother, Helen I. Baker, sister, Hope B. Baker, and brother, Alfred Potter. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one sister, Helen Avery; brother-in-law, Keith Avery; seven nieces and nephews, 18 great-nieces and nephews and eight great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as, host of other relatives and friends who will fondly remember her.
