So where should we hold the reunion? Downtown Pittsburgh? Near CIII Mall? Belle Vernon? I'd really love some input!

I think this being our 20th it should be someplace nice.
We will need to raise some $$$, though.

My friend just had her 20th and they had it at Dave & Buster's. She said it was nice, good food, and they all had fun playing the games.

She thought it made it not as stressful and more relaxed.

Just a thought....

The class of 1998 is having their 10 year reunion at the Boston Waterfront. It's convenient and local, nice and hopefully affordable.

I'd say something more formal than a picnic, but not full blown formal like a 4 star hotel. We've had office events at Salvatore's, Bradley House, Rock Bottom. Boston would work too. Maybe a buffet vs. sit-down? Probably want some place where people can talk.

As far as cost, simplest would be to cover it all with each person's admission?

I'm thinking we need a private area, where everyone can hang out, kind of corral people so they don't go too far and get lost. I'm thinking a nicer place, buffet would be great as well. DJ, Dancing, Karaoke... entertainment.

Cost is a big factor. I'm going to start with the Holidome in Uniotown, they seem to be a lot of what I'm looking for, while also allowing people in from out of town to stay 'in the area' - with a wide variety of room types, costs, and stuff to do in the area as well.

They are just one idea... but I do like the idea of a hotel hosting this as it can help people who would be needing a hotel anyway.

My sister just had her 35th reunion at the Youghiogheny Country Club. She said it was very nice. The cost was reasonable and the food was good. One of the classmates served as the DJ and they had loads of fun......

Have any idea what date is being looked at?

I do like the hotel idea for out of towners.

I like the idea of having it at The YCC the best. I think that most of the people that would be traveling from out of town (like myself) would stay with their family or friends that still live in the township. I, personally, would not want to drive back from Uniontown after the party. If we wanted to have it at a hotel so people could spend the night, I would rather have it in Pittsburgh.

I think, on the other side of the spectrum, that The Boston Waterfront location could be a really good time for the reunion. I like the idea of the event being a summer, casual, beer drinking good time. A pig roast, fire pit, hire a band for entertainment (possibly The Boogie Hustlers)...also, would allow E.F. alumni from other classes to stop by and see old friends. I think that it would result in a much more comfortable, relaxed atmosphere than a banquet type of event, not to mention that it would be a lot less expensive. It would also allow people to come and go as they please instead of having a very specific start/end time.

The class of 1988 just had their 20th reunion at the Yough Country Club and they had a good time there. I like this idea. Boston Waterfront would be nice too. Dress up nice and have fun,and it's close to home, friends and family. Pittsburgh sounds good too.

I can check on " R-place " to see what can be done since I know the owner and it could be what we want, except we would have to bring our own booze. Let me know soon.

I like the YCC or hotel idea. Like Renee, not too sure about all the way up in Uniontown. The drive afterward would be killer. Hotel downtown Pitt would be good/or Oakland. Need any help----give me a shout.
