Linnea Troccia Klossner (1972-2010)

Age 38 of Lowman, NY, after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer, became God's newest angel in heaven on Thursday, December 9, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Jerry VanBenCoten; paternal grandmother Teresa Troccia and uncle Jerome VanBenCoten. Linnea is survived by her loving husband and soul mate Matthew Klossner; her precious love, son Oscar James Klossner; loving mother and best friend Maureen (Rink) Troccia; loving father James Mark Troccia; caring mother-in-law Kay Crandall; father-in-law Ron Klossner; grandfather Frank (Joan) Troccia; grandmother Bea VanBenCoten; brothers and special sisters-in-law Jeff (Melissa) Klossner, Michael (Amy) Klossner. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Linnea graduated from Notre Dame High School, attended Delhi University, received an associates degree in hotel and restaurant management and an internship at Hilton Head. She was previously employed by the Radisson Hotel in Corning for 12 years and was currently employed with NYSEG for the last 5 years. Linnea loved to ride her horses and enjoyed her summers at the lake and loved life. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. A special thank you to aunt Janet and her sister-in-law Melissa for their unconditional care during her illness. Also a special thank you to her sister-in-law Amy for her loving care for Oscar. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, December 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm. Prayers will be offered there on Tuesday, December 14th at 9:15am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Rev. Richard Farrell, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
