Steve,

This has been a great way to see how everyone is interested in each other. Living so far away, I have been able to reconnect with many of my classmates. Thanks so much for your efforts!!

Dear fellow classmates:
I am sorry I will not be attending the reunion tonight, as I am still recovering from surgery on August 7th. I was so looking foward to attending. I want to take the time to wish you all the best tonight. I would like someone to e-mail me as to how I am able to get one of the booklets or whatever that will be passed out tonight. I am still trying to learn how this works, with facebook and message boards as I am computer slow, (as per my children, who have done everything for me)I insist on doing it my self, so am trying to get a handle on this.
With being home the next few weeks, i plan on working on it. Again, I wish you all a great and safe enjoyable time this evening I will be thinking of you all Penny Root Hover e- mail address Pri202@aol.com

What a great reunion! What a fantastic turnout!
It was fun at Bernie Murray's Friday night trying to guess who's who. Some classmates have changed a lot and some look pretty much the same. It was a little easier at Lib's thanks to the name tags. Everyone was smiling, laughing, reuniting old friendships, some making new.....it was totally awesome. There was a lot of "remember when" conversations going on that brought back so many memories. Some good and some not so good, LOL!
As for you Mr. Dickenson, I want to thank you so much for this website so we can keep updated and in touch with everyone. Steve, you have done a fantastic job.
Everyone stay happy and healthy till we meet again.
Hugs,
AX

Steve,

It was great seeing you again. The class reunion was the best one we have had (that's how I felt). I had so much fun that night. I saw a lot of people I have not seen in years; and it didn't seem like we "skipped a step". Everything was awesome. Again, thanks for keeping up the site. What a great job!!! Take care and hopefully we will be seeing you at the next reunion.

Joyce Fleming Winton-  The 40th reunion was wonderful, and I am looking forward to the 45th.  We're not that old, are we?  I wonder whether people who were in our class, but moved away or didn't graduate with us are welcome to come.  I think it would be wonderful to see some of them again.

A truly trancendental weekend.  A bit ashamed to admit I recognized nobody on Friday night--did I go to school with any of these people?   The name tags were even more help than they were in '09---I would look  at the tag, then the person, the tag and person again, then ever so slowly the light comes on.  Even though I'm looking toward retirement on the horizon It was last night that really drove home the point that I'm not a kid anymore-no matter how young I might often feel.   It was so great to see so many memories emerge from the mist of history, my lasting gratitude and endearment goes out to the many classmates who made this experience possible; you folks cannot be praised enough!

Now, may we all be healthy and strong enough to look forward to the 50th, scary to think it's only 5 years away.   May all please stay well so that we may do this again--soon!

Al Short

I also want to express my gratitude to all those who contributed to the wonderful reunion we had this year for 45 years.  I felt a little off kilter because we do all look different now.  I was glad to see and recognize some people.  Of course our class was so large that there are many people I never knew in school.  I was remiss in not circulating around and speaking to more people.  I enjoyed visiting with those I was able to spend a few minutes with.  The food was excellent!!  I also ask everyone to stay in good health so we can meet again.

I didn't remember to many at the get together the night before the reunion.  Like you said, there were a lot of us.  But I didn recognize you.  You haven't changed a bit, nice seeing you again and chatting for a few minutes.

Hi Marcia, I went to the get together with Gladys DeRico the night before the reunion.  We both plan on attending our 50th reunion.  I saw your Mother a year or so ago.  She said that you were living down in the Carolinas I think.  I go down to Charolette NC a lot to see my friend Jill Breese.  We gratuated with June Breese  that passed away a couple years ago.  I also have two cousins that live near Charolette that I visit a couple times a year.  Hope to see you at the 50th .... Barb (Austin) Brooks.

hey people . would have liked to have made the re-union, however life got in the way. it's good to read all your comments though. I see I missed a good time . I've been living in Texas for some time now.           the rest of my family moved down here in 1976. No snow, mild winters. It was 81 yesterday. See you went to Bernie Murrys. I'd give an arm for one of those burgers and some potato skins. everything is brisket, ribs, and catfish here.    could go for a fish-fry from the High-Bar too! Going to retire this year. Can't wait. Then I will visit Elmira again. Good reading your comments, all of you take care and enjoy life. Byron Van Tuyl

I missed the reunion only by 6 years. I have been overseas quite a bit was in and out Iraq from 2004 to 2011. My last adventure I crossed the Atlantic got stuck in Spain for three months and was in the Mediterranean for another continues 3 months in 2014. I am living in Virginia but still have a house in Horseheads NY.  I am staying close to home now been up in NY working on the house. Hope there will be another reunion soon! Where is the best watering hole to go to these days in the  Elmira area?
