Welcome to the Elmira New York Southside High Class Of 1970 web site.
What a resounding success our 40th Reunion was. The ice-breaker, the dinner, and the Sunday morning brunch hosted by Bill. Simply amazing. Click on the button in the left menu that says "Reunion Photos" and take a look at the attendees. If you have pictures to contribute, there's a gallery you can do that in.
I received a lot of kudos for creating the web site but the work I contributed was nothing compared to the work accomplished by the home team to pull these events off. Special thanks to Bill Knapp for all his attention and picking up the ball after Bev Lewis had to bow out due to a medical emergency (she's okay now.) Bill did an amazing job preparing Sunday brunch for 40+ people, and his home is a beautiful work of art. Thanks again Bill.
While I'm passing out kudos, special thanks to Theresa Liberatore Cunningham for the tasteful tribute to those members of our class who have passed. Exquisite!
Sally, Judy, and Linda greeted everyone at the dinner and made sure we had updated addresses and other contact information so we can start preparing for our 45th reunion.
I apologize for not knowing all the parts and pieces of who did what but this event and it's success is due to the many hands that did the work. It's all those invisible details that have to be done, often go unnoticed and don't get recognized. As I find out who deserves the recognition, I'll update my list above. Having said all that, if you'd like to participate in planning and organizing the 45th, please drop your name to me and I'll pass it on to the planning committee as they get going.
Reunion Committee participants are:
- Bill Knapp
- Bev Lewis
- Sally Belin MacNeal
- Cherie Touliatos Mayer
- Sue Brotzman Milazzo
- Judy Jerram Schaffler
- Laurie Sloan Sherman
- Linda Criss Spicknall
Use the "Contact Us" link in the navigation bar on the left to leave a note for Thom Jennings, the web site administrator.
Likewise, if you have knowledge of any of our classmates that are deceased, please pass that information on so I can update the list. Details, so a committee can research the information, are much appreciated. We're going to try and include the obituary where ever possible.
Thom
