Thomas Irish

Thomas A. Irish, 61, of East 25th Street, died unexpectedly Friday evening, August 17th, 2007, at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Erie, Nov. 15, 1945, son of the late Richard A. Irish, Sr. and Zoella Smith Irish.

He lived in Erie all of his life. Tom had worked for Aling & Cory, Modern Industries, Eckerd Drugs, Menasha Packaging Products and most recently in the warehouse for The Plastek Group.

He was a 1963 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Viet Nam Conflict. He enjoyed baseball, bowling and hunting.

Survivors include a daughter, Keri Stout and her husband Brian of Tulsa,Oklahoma; one brother, Richard A. Irish, Jr. and his wife Beverly of Erie; and one sister, Beverly Humphries and her husband Ronald of Erie.

He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kaden and Brogan Stout and many nephews & nieces. He waspreceded in death by a son, Christopher Irish in 1996.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., I-90 Exit 29).

A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
