Janet Grun, Ph.D., 45, of Derwood, Md., died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 3, 1957, in Erie, daughter of M. John and Eve Hoden Bauman of Erie. She lived in the Washington, D.C., area since 1993.

She worked for Advanced Biosearch Associates in Washington. She formerly worked for BioTech in Philadelphia.
