Brad Beckwith

 

Brad R. Beckwith, age 54, of Erie, died Tuesday August 16, 2011 at Alexander Hospital in Ontario, Canada. He was born in Erie, Pa. on December 17, 1956, a son of the late Charles T. and Hazel Colton Beckwith. Brad was a 1974 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and also attended the Ohio Institute of Technology. He worked for many years in the trucking industry, driving with Celedon Trucking. Brad had a great love of electronics, as well as ham radio and enjoyed fixing old radios. He was very involved with drum and bugle corps including the Erie Thunderbirds, Erie Mavericks, and the 27th Lancers in Boston, Ma. Brad also worked with the Air Heritage Museum in Pittsburgh. He is survived by two brothers; Bob Beckwith (Kathy) of Idaho and Fred Beckwith of Erie. He also leaves his nephews; Chuck Beckwith of Oregon and Brad Beckwith of Idaho. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502 on Thursday, from 5 p.m. till the time of a memorial service there at 7 p.m. with Reverend Richard Moyer officiating.
