Richard H. "Brownie" Brown, 45, formerly of 3003 Ellsworth Ave., died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Hamot Medical Center. He was born Sept. 22, 1957, in Erie, son of the late Robert W. and Theodora Smith Brown. He was a member of Ironworkers Local Union 348. He graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1975. He was a member of the Elks and Sportsman clubs. He was a Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed camping, boating, and playing chess. Survivors include four sisters, Sally Jones and Barbara Benson and her husband, Steve, all of Erie; Marjorie Abram and her husband, Gary, of Chardon, Ohio; and Debra Podufal and her husband, Joe, of Girard; a brother, Robert W. Brown Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Rockaway, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals. A service will follow. Burial will be private at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
