IN HONOR AND MEMORY OF

This site is in honor and memory of the men who served aboard and flew from the decks of Essex class ships . If it were not for those I had the pleasure of meeting, hearing their stories and getting to know over time, I may never have become interested military history. Thank you.

The following video was sent to us by Larry  Mattingly's wife, Cheryl. Larry served aboard USS Yorktown CVS-10.  The note from Cheryl's email read: "It will bring smiles and it will bring tears.  Our flag, our veterans.   God bless them all.   Not a word is spoken in this video, but the message is resounding."
