In Memory

Marcus Lozowick

It is with deep sorrow that I, Toni Lozowick, inform the class of '89 that my son Marcus Anthony Lozowick passed away April 13, 2009. He is survived by his mother, Toni Lee Lozowick and 14 year-old daughter, Katie Lozowick. Both of us live in Grand Junction, Colorado. He also is survived by his half-sister, Natasha Lee Lozowick. Marcus served honorably in the Persian Gulf War. He suffered for 17 years with Gulf War Syndrome and post traumatic stress disorder. Most of his post-war years were spent disabled and hospitalized. His immune system was severly compromized, having been exposed to chemicals and nerve gas in Iraq. Though he lived with tremendous physical and emotional pain, he never complained.  He has an impressive military career in the Army's 101st Airborne division. He was a devoted father and son to me. I truly have lost my best friend. He is buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetary in Denver. If anyone would like to contact me:
Toni Lozowick 970-986-8646, or write me: 2005 North 4th Street, Grand Junction,CO 81501. His half-sister, Natasha Lozowick who was 17 years younger and hardly knew him, is working on a web page in his memory where many of his prolific writings will be posted and pictures of his life. He was a talented writer and photographer. He was one of the bravest people I have ever known and the world has lost a very special and gifted human being.
