Plans for other exciting opportunities around Fairmont. All additional venues are Dutch treat. Friday night at MOCO’s Bar and Grill in White Hall on Route 73 just down from the newly renovated Middletown Commons.

3 Moran Circle for the GPS 304-816-3145.

An early arrival at 6:00 p.m. provides an opportunity to join the group at a reserved section to chat, reminisce with classmates, and order from the menu. Stay as long as you are enjoying the atmosphere of this newly established talk-of-the-town business which features a live band at 9:00 p.m.

Saturday morning on your own.

Sunday morning brunch at The Mason Jar in Bellview, formerly Colasessano’s.

Invitations will be mailed soon and are sponsored by Jim Varner.

The committee sincerely hopes that our WV Country Roads will transport you to your Home Among The Hills.

Saturday morning and afternoon are on your own. Perhaps walk the track at East-West Stadium where you might catch a glimpse of the nine-times state championship football team preparing for the 2025 season. Note the signs honoring the girls’ ten-time state championship lacrosse team that continues to “Defend the Dynasty”. Meander the lovely campus of your alma mater. Other areas that might be considered are Valley Falls, It’s now illegal to ride the Falls, but the beauty of the area remains. Pick up pepperoni buns from second-generation polar bear Christopher Pallotta at Country Club Bakery (304-363-5690) or a dozen dogs at Yann’s (no catsup and don’t forget the chocolate milk) or Woodys for a picnic at Palatine Park. The CVB at 1000 Cole Street 304-368-1123 at the top of the Gateway Connector is a magnificent stone structure that was dismantled and reconstructed on the present site with amazing vista views of the Friendly City. If you were a Fighting Falcon, the campus has many aesthetic improvements. For the history buffs, a tour of Prickett’s Fort allows the visitor to witness the sights and sounds of frontier life where you can celebrate 250 years of history and heritage.

The 55th class reunion for the class of 1964 was enjoyed at Backwoods at the Belmont.

The hardworking committee met again today to finalize plans for the 55th reunion of the Fairmont Senior High School class of 1964.  Specifically, Judy Criss Davisson who drives from Ohio for every meeting, Sharon Burrows, Bob Karl, and Carl Crandall.  Rodney McGinnis and Rick Harter did not attend.

Because the committee anticipated approximately 80-100, they contracted the large venue of the Knights of Columbus.  Since reservations did not meet that benchmark, the Knights encouraged the group to find another facility.  The committee is excited to announce that they have found accommodations at Backwoods at the Belmont 608 Bellview Blvd. Fairmont, West Virginia 26554.

Michael Core's credentials as a chef are well established.  Everything in the letter remains the same except for the new location for the Saturday evening event.  The food is fabulous and the newly remodeled restaurant will provide lovely accommodations.  If you have delayed reserving a spot, the committee encourages you to do so asap as seating will be limited.  The committee looks forward to enjoying the weekend with classmates and guests.

These four old friends met in West Virginia to "re-create " a moment at the Fairmont Senior High School, class of 1964, Reunion, and they came from Florida, South Carolina, Montana and Virginia! They all agreed that they are very fortunate to have been able to do this.  Edgar Jaynes, Bill Goodwin, Blake Boggess, and Ike Robinson reprise their 1964 performance at the Fairmont Senior High School Choralier Concert on the occasion of the 50th Class reunion.
