Michael Pinette

PINETTE, Michael The family of Michael Pinette, aged 52 years, announces his unexpected passing on Sunday (March 1, 2009). Michael was the child of the late Gilbert and Marie Pinette. Michael leaves his daughter Amy and her husband Jeff Stanco as well as his son Michael Pinette and his wife Alyssa Fauretti. Michael would have been thrilled to have known that his first grandchild, Amy and Jeff's child, is to be born in April 2009. Michael also leaves his sister and brothers and their families: Michella and John Namey and Michella's sons Brandon Kozikowski and Brian Kozikowski; Tony and Mary Beth Pinette and their children Beth (and Patrick) Spaulding and their son, Michael's great-nephew, Alexander Spaulding, Justin Pinette, and Jacob Pinette; and David and Amy Pinette and their children Eliza Pinette and Lillie Pinette. Michael's family is appreciative for the care he received and the compassion the family felt from the staff of the C-ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital and the team of professionals from the New England Organ Bank. Michael worked for many years at Mallory Industries in Farmington. He was very handy and worked for various local companies in construction and landscaping. Michael loved to spend time camping beside, fishing in, and working on his garden along the Farmington River. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery on Garden Street in Farmington. To acknowledge both Michael's struggles and his love for the Farmington River, the family requests donations to the following organizations: Alcoholics Anonymous, the American Heart Association, or the Farmington River Watershed Association. In addition, Michael's family also asks that you consider being an organ donor. Information can be obtained at www.neob.org. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc.

At first meeting, Mike had a way of being intimidating, but once you broke the ice, he was actually a nice guy. While I can't say that we were buddies to any stretch of the imagination, I'd say we were friendly. And that's how I remember Mike.
