Hatfield, Larilyn “Missy”
HATFIELD, Larilyn “Missy” (Saxton) Hatfield of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Farmington, beloved wife of Fred Hatfield, died Friday, August 17, after a short illness. Born in Hartford in 1957, daughter of Jessie and G. William Saxton of Farmington, Missy moved with her husband, Fred, to Arizona in 2007. She was a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1975, Westbrook College, and Tunxis Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Fred became the head of Aetna’s Medicaid business, headquartered in Arizona, and Missy, a retired dental hygienist, provided a loving home environment in their new adopted state. Missy had a deep love for her family and especially enjoyed vacationing at their summer home in Cape May, New Jersey. In addition to her husband and parents, surviving family members include her son, Bill Hatfield of Torrington; her sister, Sharon (Tim) Farrell of Cromwell; her brother, Brian (Lisa) Saxton, of St. Joseph, Mich.; three nieces and a nephew. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville, on Tuesday (Aug. 28) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 29) in the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford.
