Wendy Storey Bryant, a native of Middle Tennessee and a 23-year resident of Rutherford County, is a 1990 graduate of Motlow State Community College with an A.S. degree in Communications. In 1993, she received a B.S. degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations/Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.
Prior to coming to work in the tourism industry, she worked in the health care field for three years. In February 1996, she joined the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She earned her designation as a CTTP (Certified Tennessee Tourism Professional) in 2002. Additionally, she earned her TMP (Travel Marketing Professional) designation from of the Southeast Tourism Society in 2004. Bryant graduated from Dale Carnegie Training in 2005. She is also a 2006 Leadership Rutherford graduate.
Bryant served as the Publicity Director of the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival from 1993-2009. She received the Jesse Messick Service Award from the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival in 2004. She served as Technical Advisor for the TBS Superstation documentary, “Roots of Country” in 1993.
She has been involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations. Wendy has one daughter, Laura.
