Steve and I knew each other from grade school, the Ogborn's lived at the opening to Charbonier School, and I have the fondest memories of him in grade school and junior high. Unfortunately, we just became hellos in the hallway at HHS.
I am not sure how many of Steve's friends will read this, I hope many more will record their comments, but Steve was a real character with a tremendous sense of humor. I honestly don't remember a time when he was not smiling; really a memorable personality.
Like all of our classmates and friends...Steve...all the best! I miss you!
To the Ogborn family and dear friends. This is Judie Cooper (hughes). I read about Steve's passing just last nite! I am in total shock! In hs. Steve always had a crush on me and I knew it. But being the smart ass I was I didn't let him know I knew it. His sister Cathy and I were best of friends. In fact, I went to the same church , and attended grade school and hs too! I was at the Ogborn home many, many times. My heart goes out to family and friends. I would love to know that his passing was not in vain, and I would love to hear from someone in the family. I also know there was nine kids in that family, and their dad was a police officer, like my dad. In those days, policemen didn't make much money to support a large family. So very very sorry, love a friend of the family, Judie Cooper(hughes) 636-359-7404
Although Steve and I did not know each other well in hs, I became close friends with his wife through work, and Steve and I saw each other frequently after hs. Today I am still friends with his wife, Pam and his daughter, Rachel. Steve was a great guy and Pam and Rachel continued their tradition of marking June 19 with a tribute to a fabulous husband and dad.
