Comments:    Hello class of 1970. I am Lindsay Wehmer, Bob's oldest daughter. I'd like to share with you a bit about my father-post graduation.

Bob attended William Jewel University after high school. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. After college he was a construction worker. In 1985 he married Dani (Newfeld) Wehmer. He then changed jobs, and began delivering papers for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and owned his own route. In 1987 the most amazing thing happened to Bob-his oldest daughter, Lindsay, was born! She was quickly followed by her brother, Jeff, in 1989. Three and a half years later Bob's youngest daughter, Sarah, was born in April of 1992.

Bob spent most of his time with his family and friends. He owned a pontoon boat, and spent every Sunday on the Mississippi River with family and friends. As the children got older, Bob enjoyed attending baseball games, football games, dance recitals, BBQs, and nights out with his lovely wife and their friends. He enjoyed jogging around the neighborhood, and working out in the basement.

Bob's life suddenly ended early in the morning on January 24, 2005 when Bob suffered a heart attack while on his paper route. Not a day goes by where we don't think about my father. We miss him terribly, but we know he's watching down on us and taking care of us.

Bob's family continues. Lindsay graduates this May (2010) from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor's of Science in Education. She will be teaching Math at a high school in Parkway. Jeff attends the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is majoring in finance, economics, and real estate. He plans to take the LSAT this summer, and hopes to be a lawyer of some sort. Sarah will graduate from Parkway North in 8 days and she can not wait! She will be attending the University of Missouri-Columbia as well, and plans to become a child psychologist.

We remember my dad through our memories and through stories about him. Please share yours! Pictures soon to come.

During the Friday night reception at the Holiday Inn before the 1970 Class 20 year reunion,  Bob and I had a nice chat.  Jill and I played on the same softball team at some point -- we all attended the same schools since kindergarten.   My sympathies to his wife, children, Jill and family.

I didn't know Bob real well, we shared just a couple of classes, but what I liked about him was even though he was one of the 'big wheels' in the class, he treated everyone the same.  It was a pleasure knowing him.  My sympathies to his family.

Like many classmates, I have so many fond memories of the Wehmer hayrides.  Bob's smile could brighten the worst of days.

I can still rembered Bob like it was still high school!  We play football and rode the bus and we got a kicked out of singing the St Charles fight song.  And he had some great hay rides at his parents home. He always had a big smile on his face, will never forget him.  Al Jones

I remember Bob Wehmer as a really popular guy.  He always had a smile and was a lot of fun. He really did treat everyone with kindness. It is such a loss that he is gone.  I can see how he would have been a wonderful father and husband.

Bob was a true friend.  Although I was shy and an introvert in high school Bob always treated me

as a friend and equal.  I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I always remember Bob as a caring and outgoing guy in H.S. who could make us all smile in an instant. I'm sorry for the loss of such a good man...God bless you Lindsay and all of your family. I'm sure Bob is missed greatly. God be with you.

Bob was the president of our class in 6th grade and  truly led us all from then on, although having his aunt for a substitute did quiet things down. He was funny and exciting to be around, even for those of us who were in the background.
