Sheri Gatewood Casey

Death Date: May 30, 2010
Sheri K. Casey - 47, of Fort Dodge died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home following a 15 month battle with brain cancer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Deacon Jeff Harris officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and also 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
Sheri K. Casey - 47, of Fort Dodge died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home following a 15 month battle with brain cancer.

Survivors include her husband Joe of Fort Dodge; children Miranda Jo and her boyfriend Brian Sauers, twins Breanna and Zachary all at home, sisters Peggy Willson and her husband Rich, Shelley Christian and her husband Marty all of Webster City and a brother Jim Gatewood of Webster City. Sheri is also survived by her best friend Michelle McBride and her loving dog Lucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Patricia (Crocheck) Gatewood and a brother Steven.
Sheri K. Gatewood was born December 31, 1962 in Iowa City. She was raised and educated in Webster City graduating from Webster City High School in 1981. Sheri was employed for Van Diest for a period of time before working at the Electrolux Company for over 20 years. On September 7, 1991 she was united in marriage to Joe Casey and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge.
She was a member of U.A.W. local #442.
Sheri’s hobbies included treasure hunting by way of going to many garage sales throughout her adult life and going on occasional casino trips. She deeply loved her family and friends, she will truly be missed.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
