FMHS CLASS OF 1974 (Grads & Non-grads) 50TH REUNION PLANS!
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2024: Cash Bar Social with Appetisers
Anytime after 4:00 PM: Meet at the fabulous new Fort Madison Marina in Riverview Park! We reserved the big party room that has access to outdoor seating on the beautifully lit patio. Appetizers included. Cash bar. Chat with your classmates while you watch the sunset and the Mighty Miss flowing by.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2024: 10:00 AM - Tour FMHS! Members of the Class of 1964 may join us,
too Meet at the entrance at 9:45 AM. Tour begins at 10:00 AM.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2024: EVENING EVENTS - Meet at McAleer Hall, 11th Street & Avenue E
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Social
5:30 PM SHARP: Group photo on or near St. Mary’s church steps. (The church steeple was damaged by winds and caution tape currently prevents use of the church and its steps.)
6:30 PM: Buffet dinner catered by our own Vicki Butler Slater! Enjoy dinner music by Mike Delaney, a beverage bar, after dinner tunes (and maybe even karaoke!) by Thin Blue Line Productions, fun photo ops, dancing, games with prizes and a special guest!
COST: $50 per classmate/spouse/significant other/friend.
50th REUNION Red T-SHIRTS - $25 each. Featuring a drawing of our beloved Bloodhound
and FMHS on the front, and Class of 1974 on the back.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2024, 12 Noon: Casual Picnic in Central Park. Bring a brown bag lunch and beverages to the Mike Johnson Shelter House and enjoy more time with your old and new friends! Located between 9th & 10th Streets and Avenues E & F.
To send in your reservations now, mail your check, with names of attendees and T-shirt sizes, to Becky (Pohlpeter) Baker, 2309 Mokena Terrace, Fort Madison, IA 52627, or you can send $ via Venmo at Reunion_50. Include all attendees' names ($50 each) and T-shirt sizes ($25 each) in notes. If you use Venmo, please add the Venmo fee of $1.05 for $50 or $2.00 for $100 and $2.48 for $125 (i.e., 1.9% + 10 cents).
A printed invitation with RSVP card and return envelope will go out before June 1.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: Meanwhile, if you'd like to make reservations at a local hotel, blocks of rooms have been saved at reduced rates until August 20, 2024 at the following locations: Quality Inn, 319–372–6800, Cobblestone Inn, 319–246–1401, Super 8, 319-243-7323, and Kingsley Inn, 319–372–5123. (Mention Class of 1974 and Becky Rump)
