Hello old friends! I went by Christy in high school. I attended FPHS our freshmen and sophomore years, then I moved to Montgomery. Thanks for allowing me to join your page. After high school I married Joey Deal (FPHS class of 1978) and we ended up in Dyersburg, TN. We both still live here, but we split after 13 years--we still talk and are both happily re-married. My husband Bobby and I have been married 11 years and he is a total sweetheart. He is a math professor at our local college. I am very blessed to work with teenagers as a high school drama teacher and I do not have any children of my own--just pets that mean the world to me. I have had the opportunity to travel a lot the last several years, which has been fabulous!!! I don't take life too seriously--and laughter is a daily staple in my life! I am very liberal in my beliefs. (Yes, I am a left-wing bleeding heart!) I am thrilled to be able to make contact with all of you and I hope everyone is well and happy!!
My best friend my sophomore year was Peri McFadden--and I was thrilled to make contact with her this Summer. I was so proud of the fact that I attended every football game our sophomore year--thank goodness for that Pep Bus! The Pep Rallies at FPHS hold a place in my heart--do y'all remember us cheering "All-Righta!" because of the Ore-Ida commercials? I remember our band being really good--and I hate that most high schools don't have majorettes anymore. Ms. Bloom was great and I thought that I was a pretty good gymnast (I probably wasn't but that is the way I prefer to remember it!) When I think back on the physical aspect of FPHS, is seems odd that we had to walk from building to building--is it still that way? I got sent to the office just one time for yelling in the hall during a tornado drill--that's right I lived on the edge!! The senior play our sophomore year was "Oklahoma", which is the play and character that later inspired me to get into theatre. I landed the role of Ado Annie in a Community Theatre production and I haven't stopped working in theatre since!
