Mike and I spent many an hours at the range together or at drill practice he was greatly missed our senior year. Mark Palmer (aka: JR) and Mike seem to make every rifle team trip a new adventure - since I grew up with no brothers they felt it their duty to make sure I never missed what having a brother would have been like. For that I love them both a lot and have some great memories. Mike's passing was very hard on our group and he will always remain in our/my heart(s) and memories.
Mike was a great guy. He and I went all the way back to third grade at Holy Cross. I thought his whole family - parents and sister - were great. I remember that in grade school, Mike always talked about joining the military. In high school, he really blossomed. He was tall, handsome, and a born leader. I miss him.
Mike was my best friend. We grew up together and he was included in my family and I in his. His death changed my life. I was wanting to go diving with both he and John, my other closest friend, but, could not afford to.
I talk to Mike often and look forward to seeing him again.

I can't not forget Mike and John Snyder as almost every year, for the past 25 years, my family travels through and stays in the small Canadian town where the tragic scuba diving accident happened. Town natives that I have spoken with recall the accident. As I leave town on the ferry and go out onto the waters I think of them both knowing they are now living in glory with our Lord in heaven.
