JUDITH R. (HARTMAN) ROTHGEB, 72, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Kingston Health-care, Fort Wayne. Born in Harlan, she was the daughter of the late Welmer "Whitey" and Laura Alfeld. She was a member of St. Joe United Methodist Church. She retired from Lutheran Hospital in 1998 after 40 years as a Registered Nurse in Pediatrics. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Howard Rothgeb; sons, Scott (Jen) Hartman of New York, Steven (Pet) Hartman of Morganville, N.J., Craig (Marcella) Hartman of Sydney, Australia, Todd (Shelly) Hartman of Fishers; brother, Jim (Becky) Alfeld of Glendale, Ariz.; sister, Barbara (Mike) Webster of Las Vegas, N.V.; stepsons, Christopher (Shelley) Rothgeb of Phoenix, Ariz. and Kevin (Jodi) Rothgeb of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 17 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Stan and Larry Alfeld. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Ron Verlee officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Turnstone (turnstone.org).
