Virginia Ann Taylor (“Ginny”) was born on March 16, 1940. She was a graduate of South Side High School and grew up on Hanna Street in a taxidermy family. Aside from her proficient work in taxidermy, she worked as a cashier for Eavey’s Grocery Store in the late 1950s, as well as International Harvester and Peerless Cleaners.

Ginny was married for 52 years to Richard (Dick) Taylor, who passed away in 2012. As the wife of a firefighter and the mother to three children, she was the matriarch of a robust household.

She is survived by her three children and their extended families: Richard Taylor (Son) of Fort Wayne, married to Susan Dunno Taylor, with 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Rachal and Ryan Taylor all of Fort Wayne, along with 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson Taylor and Dakota Taylor; Mark Taylor (Son) married to Andrea Kidd Taylor who live in Timnath, CO, with one grandchild, Dylan Taylor; and Teri Taylor, (Daughter) who lives in Hypoluxo, FL. Ginny’s parents, Berlin and Violet Diehm, as well as her brother Jack are all previously deceased.

Ginny loved the 1950’s, especially the music. She danced to Elvis and loved Hawaii and Don Ho. She made holidays and birthdays special and always made sure everyone felt loved. She spent her time with her husband and family, living the life she loved, going to Fort Myers Beach, Hawaii and Las Vegas with her husband Dick by her side. She was an amazing woman who her husband and children all benefited from knowing and loving her. She will continue to be in our hearts forever.
