Cindy was a very dear friend. For many years she worked selflessly for a Women's Shelter and with Aids' victims. The work was depressing and emotionally draining. When I asked her one time why she stayed, she shared that one of her greatest joys was to help the young pregnant mothers with Aids and the babies. By the mothers coming for help and taking the newer medications available, Cindy said the Aids' babies that were born were decreased from 4 in 5 to 1 in 5. That was her reward. I miss her very much.
