On Nita and Ronnie... from James Nader:
In the spring about 12-15 years ago, I was with some fellows from Fort Worth on a golfing expedition down to the Austin area. On that particular Friday night, after stuffing ourselves on Rudy’s Bar-B-Q out on 183 west of town, we decided to choke down a few donuts at the new (at that time) Crispy Cream! Ronnie and Nita walked in and I recognized them immediately! They had come to town for dinner and a similar classy desert adventure. Great minds…! Nita’s beautiful hair was down to her waste as usual and Ronnie looked the same as well. What a pleasant surprise! Ronnie and I were in the third grade at South Hills (Mrs. Welborn’s class) together.
