There's lots to remember about Jan. He loved to sing and was the lead in the barber shop quartet formed in Ann Cooper's choir class. We called it The Uncalled Four at times - Dave Maish, Tom Thompson, Jan, and I. And, he was in an Everly Bros. duo when at I.U. A chum of John Keedy, he kept in touch via email in recent years, corresponding about interesting, sometimes strange topics. It was interesting and challenging. I'll miss those contacts and cherish the memories/

Jan, Tom Thompson, and I were into rabbit hunting during the late fall months.  We had some hilarious adventures from time to time, especially when John Keedy joined us for a hunt at John's Uncle's farm.  I will recall fondly, those times afield, with Jan.
