David L. Huffer, 74, of Kingman, passed away at 3:23 am on Thursday, April 04, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born to the late John F. Huffer and Della (Dickason) Smith on December 30, 1938 in Frankfort, IN. Dave graduated from Frankfort High School in 1957 and married Barbara Bamberger on July 20, 1957. He retired from the Frankfort Fire Dept. in 1979 and owned and operated several businesses including Best Way Cleaners, Huffer's Dairy Delite, and Dave's Radiator Service all in Frankfort. 
Dave was a life member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Moose Lodge #7 for over 40 years, past member of the Lions Club of Frankfort, and Past President of Lake Holiday Hide-Away Board of Directors and a member of the Sterling Christian Church of Veedersburg. 
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Kingman; one sister, Peggie Shirar of Frankfort; two brothers, John "Mike"Huffer Jr. of Mulberry and Lloyd G. Huffer of St. Charles, Iowa; three children, Philip (Brenda) Huffer of Kingman, Cynthia (Jeff) Edgar of Lafayette; and Julie (Michael) Huffer Aouad of Boca Raton, Florida; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, one brother, and two sisters. 
Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life memorial service on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg with Gary Johnson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling Christian Church building fund or Southern Care Hospice of Lafayette. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care. I ran around with Dave until  for quite some time while we lived in woodside.
