Raymond "Sonny" Kressel

Raymond "Sonny" Kressel, 71, of Frankfort, passed away December 13, 2010 at 12:22 am at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center in Frankfort. Born November 9, 1939 to Ramond Kressel Sr. and Alice Rosalene (Mann) Kressel. Mr. Kerssel graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1957 and was a carpenter. He retired from Kramer Lumber in 1988. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes,camping, and spending time with family. He married Connie Neese on December 17 1960 and they divorced. He then married Margaret Dukes March 7, 1993 in Frankfort and she survives. Also surviving is his mother: Alice Rosalene Kressel of Frankfort, Twins: Bruce Kressel of West Lafayette and Pam McMurtrie (John) of Colfax, Three sons: Johnnie Altum (Cheryl) of Elkhart, In., Glen Altum (Lisa) of Gorin, Mo, and Chris Hays of Frankfort, one daughter Nelma Klinger (Dale) of Lebanon, one son-in-law Charlie Glass of Colfax, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother: Caroll Kressel (Karen) of Tennessee. He was preceeded in death by his father and 1 daughter June Glass. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 17, 2010 at Archer-Weston Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Archer-Weston Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

Ron Miller (Class Of 1956)

I knew "Sonny" in grade school and played baseball with him in high school.  I haven't seen him in 50 years, but I remember him.   I remember him as a good young lad.  He made the best outfield (center field) catch I had ever seen.  He was a nice guy, too.  If I remembered him and his "catch" that long, he had an impact on my memory cells.
