Dianne Sladek

Dianne Sladek passed away on June 26, 2007. Her family said it was a sudden brain aneurism. After graduating from East Leyden, Dianne went on and became a registered nurse and worked in the Mt. Morris, Illinois area. She and her husband Larry Klancir (deceased) had a daughter Dina who now lives in Colorado Dianne also graduated from Rhodes School in 1966. Her family nickname was Dee. Dianne is also survived by her three sisters – Cathy, Margie, and Bobbie. She wrote in the 30-year Leyden reunion booklet that her most memorable high school teacher was Dale Rinehart (biology). He always encouraged her to “think” and “apply” what she was learning. Those skills got her through nurses training. She also stayed in touch with Terry Lemoncello. Info about Dianne submitted by Donna Bartman -- I stay in touch with Dianne’s mother who lives in Arkansas. Our families used to camp together at Warren Dunes, Michigan. Dianne’s parents, Mary Jo Thompson’s parents, and my parents held an awesome Rhodes School 8th grade graduation party at the Park District. RIP Dianne.
