I received this last week from Ed wife last week and I thought I would like to shafe with all.

Dear Mike:
I'm sorry to report to you that my dear husband, Ed Milenky, passed away nine years ago on
July 15, 2003. Although he had never been a smoker, he was diagnosed with stage iv lung
cancer the summer before he died. We were about to celebrate our 34th anniversary. We have
three children, two daughters and one son. Our first grandchild, a boy, was born eleven days
after Ed died.
Ed graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Tufts University. He received a Masters and a
Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a
PhD from the Fletcher School. He taught for many years at Boston College, wrote several books
and articles, and then turned to government service. He worked as a foreign affairs analyst for
the CIA for many years while teaching part time. I have included an article from the
Washington Post about his many civic interests and pursuits.
Ed was a wonderful husband, a devoted father, a scholar, a recognized and distinguished
analyst in the fight against nuclear proliferation, a civic leader, and an all-around great guy. I
miss him every single day.
