The reunion is just around the corner. When you drop by please make sure you post on the message forum. It can be about anything, Tell us about your life at work or home,  some of your past favorite teachers, what you loved/hated about high school, your first high school love, your kids , grand-kids, maybe your upcoming retirement. We would like to see dialogue going; how about talking about the upcoming reunion, how you are looking forward to seeing everyone.

We are working tirelessly to put it all together, we are not asking much from you. Fill in your bio, stop by on our message forum and post. It's simple and easy. It is one place where we can all come together. Their are a whole group of Alumni on Facebook, another whole group on Classmates.com and then an email/snailmail list I have acquired over the past reunions however many of those names are defunct. There are no fees to join so communication is easy.

Please stop by, and write a few lines. We would all like to hear how life is treating you.

Rori

Hi FHS Alumni,

looking to get some conversation going on here. any topic that's on your mind is good.  currently on my mind is the aftermath of hurricane sandy. i still live in freeport...actually the same house I was raised in. we were hit really bad with the flooding and storm surge. we just got back in our house 2 weeks before christmas. it has been a nightmare.

wondering how fellow freeporters made out?  If you're not here, how about your parents...many parents still are here.  curious to see how everyone still living in freeport, or even the surrounding towns are doing.

Gimme an H, gimme an I, that  spells Hi! How are all of you out there my fellow FHS'er's!

Life is really good for me and my family. I can't complain after what many, like Diane, have been through after Sandy hit Freeport hard! But most of us are still around and we'd love to catch up! It's been 40 years god damn it! Make sure you put the weekend of July 19-21 on your calendar and meet up with us for a cocktail, share some food, some stories, some good times together, even a ride on the Nunley's carousel. Some of us have been meeting informally 2X's a year to do some of the above and it's been really great! Even though most of us NEVER hung around together back in the day, we all seem to get along really well and truly enjoy each other's company. There's something about growing up together under the same influences and at the same time in history that makes us all gel. So make it your obligation to make it back to Freeport for a really great weekend you won't forget! It'll be quite nostagic, we promise!

Here's to seeing you then!

Hello all,

Well, this is Monday, July 22, 2013.  The long planned, long awaited Class Reunion of 1972 and 1973 has finally come and gone :(    It was a Reunion to beat all reunions!  Everything went off beautifully. From the flowers and decorations to the catered food and Rusty, the DJ who spun vinyl from the '70's.  Many people showed up for the informal get together at The Nook on Friday Evening, July 19th.  Even more showed up for the BIG NIGHT. Mother Nature was "ok" to us...holding off with the torrential rain, but still keeping us surrounded in heat. Even though the air condition ran for many hours before the affair, it still couldn't handle the body heat of all who attended.  Nobody seemed to care though, they danced and sweat the night away to Rusty's oldies but goodies.  We hired a sweet young lady who walked around in the FHS Red Devil Mascot uniform. God she must have lost 10 lbs. in there sweating.  The Red Devil took many pictures with alumni, and there is a video of it on the Class of '73 and Class of '72 page.  The evening was over before we knew it and the DJ played Donna Summer's "Last Dance".  Even though this long-planned event finally came to pass and was over, the wonderful memories from back in the day and that Reunion weekend will live in everyone's mind for a very long time.

So, fellow alumni....it was great seeing you, talking with you and reminiscing.  Best wishes for good health and happiness until we meet again :)

In less than a year we will be reuniting again for our 50th reunion.

Please be patient as we are putting together different lists in hopes to fill in the blanks as to who is missing. The current list posted as of today is not correct. It is from the prior reunion. If you haven't reached out to me already please send me your email which you monitor most often, home address, and current cell to me @ rori@billydeans.com. Please forward me any contacts you have and start getting in touch with your alumni. So far I have had a great response on Facebook. If you are not on FB please reach out to me there and I will put you in our private 1973 Alumni group

Below is the group photo from our 40th reunion. Unfortunately many folks did not make it for the photo opt.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year!

Greetings FHS Class of '73 Classmates!

Just hopped on board to assist Rori and Dan with a paid for searching service we've set up. I am working directly with this service in the hopes of tracking down a lot more folks to send the invitations out to for the 50th Reunion.

I feel that this is probably the most important reunion to try to attend; unfortunately, due to the growing list of folks that are passing away now. I am also speaking with and inviting Holy Redeemer classmates (grades 1-8) that did not go on to FHS with us. Several from the OHR crowd have expressed interest in joining us!

I will keep everyone posted on how it's going in the weeks ahead.

Thanks and hope to see a lot of us attending!

Stopped by to say hi. It's been a very long time since I've seen anyone. 50 yrs is a very long time. Went to the 30th reunion and would love to make the 50th. Unfortunately we just put our home back together after 2 earthquakes, Dec 20 and January 1st. Our home is on the market again!!!
Wish us luck. If anyone wants to get in touch by all means do so.

Best to all
