Richard Mac Shepherd, of Pearland, Texas went to his eternal heavenly home on October 11, 2018. Rick was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on February 4, 1952 to Ray Edward and Wanda Shepherd.

He attended Brazosport High School where he was affectionately known as Puddin’ by his football team. He received his letter jacket while playing defensive end before graduating in 1970. He went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Management.

Rick was a wonderful example to his children and grandchildren. He volunteered by coaching his children in soccer, softball, baseball, t-ball, swim team and Boy Scouts. He served his church by being an active volunteer at both Cypress Bible Church and New Hope of Manvel, Texas. As a member of various Bible study groups and Stephen's Ministry he developed many lifelong friendships. 

Rick spent his entire adult life working in the metal fabrication industry. He enjoyed his positions as Sales Manager and then Vice President at Offenhauser followed by Sales Manager at Ward Vessel & Exchanger, from which he retired after a total of 43 years in the industry in May, 2018.

Rick leaves behind his precious wife Georgette and their children, Richard Mac Shepherd Jr., Katie Trahan (John), William Shepherd, Courtney Walker and Jay Walker (Amy). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Alyssa Domingues, Brooke and Kalem Trahan, Hunter and Noah Shepherd , Nolan and Nora Walker. Rick was preceded in death by his mother Wanda, brother Eddie and sister Jana Sullivan.
