"The Aviator" (www.avaiatorbrew.comFriday evening, October 1, 600 East Broad Street, "Varina" - The Aviator is a popular watering hole in Varina (near the railroad tracks), and a perfect place for FVHS Class of '75 to meet up. Jean Cotten Schnaak is organizing a Reunion weekend get-together at Aviator for classmates. Jean plans to go to The Aviator immediately after the Oct 1 FVHS football game - at about 9pm. Classmates are welcome to go to The Aviator earlier, or show up with the post football crowd.

FVHS Football Game, FVHS vs Apex, Friday evening - gates open at 6pm - game begins 7:30pm, $6/person, October 2, "new" FV High School Campus, 201 Bengal Blvd (off Broad St in "Varina")  - Jean Cotten Schnaak is encouraging folks sit together in the first section of bleachers at the football game.  Parking is limited; be prepared to come early or be prepared to walk a ways!

Fuquay-Varina Museums Tour 10:30am, free!, Saturday, October 2, 131 S Fuquay Avenue - A Fuquay-Varina Museums Tour is being offered to Class of '75 members, a special arrangement by our own Social Studies teacher extraordinaire, Shirley Simmons. The museums, including the first Fuquay post office, the "Squire" Ballentine schoolhouse and the Centennial Museum, are located at 131 S. Fuquay Avenue (see http://www.fuquay-varina-museums.org/).  The tour is free and should be very educational.

Chuck Champion in concert - 3pm, free!, Saturday, October 2, American Legion Hut, 6400 Johnson Pond Rd - Chuck Champion is a singer, songwriter, guitar picker, FVHS '75 graduate (and well known algebra scholar)from Fuquay-Varina, NC. He now resides in Mebane, NC. Blending pinches of Roots Rock, Pop and Country with generous portions of humor, (see www.chuckchampion.com), Chuck will perform some of his original compositions and some oldies - this event is sponsored by The Questell Foundation (www.questellfoundation.org). Sylvia Adcock Wilkerson has arranged for FVHS Class of '75 members to hear Chuck's performance for free (although contributions  to the Questell Foundation - a blues preservation group - would be welcome).
