Deacon Howard J. Patterson Jr, 62, Raleigh, died August 13, 2019.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Patterson Sr and Blanche McArthur Patterson, and his brother, James Allen Patterson. Howard was born March 7, 1957, in Wagram, NC; he departed this life on  August 13, 2019, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. 

Howard was employed with Tobacco Growers in Fuquay-Varina, and with Dublin Masonry Company in Raleigh. Deacon Howard loved God and attending church. He was a faithful member at Perfecting Praise Christian Center in Raleigh. Howard loved his family and enjoyed fellowship with friends. He unfailingly treated people with respect and consideration. 

Deacon Howard will be missed by many, especially including: his sisters: Dorothy Patterson of Raleigh and Pecolia Harris (Stanley) of Raleigh; special nephew: Brandon Greene of Raleigh; special nieces: Danielle M WIlson (Terrell) of Nashville TN, Tenall Harris and Tony Harris of Raleigh; great nieces: Shauni Greene of Raleigh and Katherine Olivia Greene of Durham; great nephew: Collin Smith of Durham; special aunt: Pastor Mary Jane Patterson of Holly Springs; special friend: Danielle McCoy of Raleigh, and a myriad of cousins and friends. 

Howard's funeral was at First Freewill Baptist Church on Bass Lake Road in Holly Springs.
