Willaim was one of the sweetest people that I ever met. William, Micheal B, and Wade B,picked on me so bad in homeroom. They always got me in trouble with Mr. King...they would start picking one by one... I would fuss with them and end being the one to get called out. :o) However, before homeroom was over William would give me candy and of course we were friends again.
William lived within walking distance of my grandparents and he had stopped by a few days before he drowned and was telling me how excited he was about going to the lake that weekend. We talked about the following school year and the upcoming year. He was always quiet to others but, do not get it twisted he was a talker! :o) We truly had a good time laughing about our Freshman Days. When I heard the news that he had drowned my heart dropped, I could not believe it...I went by his house and saw the flower on the door...it was true. I was devastated first Jay now William. My heart was broken. All those long summer days talking about the next school year and he was gone before school began. I truly believe in my heart that the last time he stopped by was his way of saying "goodbye". William Douglas I will never forget you and thank you for being my "friend".
