Liberty – A Christian Burial Rite will be said by Father Michael Swierz at 10AM Fri Sept. 12 2014 at Schiavone Funeral Home for Robert T. Tarantino, 69 who died Sunday morning at his residence.  Robert was born Aug. 20, 1945 in Youngstown, a son o f Frank A. and Mary A. Rainer Tarantino. He was a 1963 graduate of The Riverside Military Academy and was later discharged from the US Army Reserve in 1973. As a highly motivated entrepreneur Robert opened and operated his own optical lab for many years. “BT” as he was known by many, was a fashionable dresser and enjoyed games of chance. He is survived by his wife; Darlene de-la Rosa whom he married Aug. 2, 1969, their three children; Frank (Kara) Tarantino, Stacie Armstrong, and Laurie (Jeff) Castel, six grandchildren, three sisters; Teresa (Carl) Venzeio, Jan (Ted) Bosh, and Judy (Chuck) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank A. Tarantino. Friends and family will gather on Thursday Sept 11, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belmont Park Cemetery.

I often think of the wonderful memories I had at Riverside and in many of them it was time I spent

with Bobby. The man was a dancing fool and I'm sadden he is no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers

go out to his family. Damn, I'm really sorry for the loss. Hell of a young man, I won't forget him. God bless you Bobby.

my favorite memory  of Bobby was hanging out with him and Gaetano. I remember his uncle Pauly taking us to the Avion motel pool.
