GASTONIA — Jessie Jean Harrison Green, 71, passed away peacefully Aug. 7, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Spruce Pine on July 9, 1945, to the late Garfield and Hazel Buchanan Harrison. Jean is survived by her husband of 50 years, Roy “Bill” Green; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Dwayne Gibson; sisters, Shelia, Kay and Micky; many nieces and nephews and granddogs Bubba, Sammy and Duke. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at A Simple Service, 451 Hospital Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hardin Community Baptist Church 548 Hardin Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.
