I never knew she died. Does anyone have any information to pass on? For those who didn't know, it would be nice to have the info to pass on.

I was really sad when I heard what happened to Vienna and her little boy. I always thought she was so little and pretty!! It was a tragedy how her life ended...I know we're not supposed to ask why but sometimes it's hard not to. R.I.P.

Wow what can i say about Vienna. She had a very big heart, loved to joke and loved everyone. I remember when she rode the bus with us. We had a party every day. She will be missed.

Georgetown County trio killed in accident

A Georgetown County woman, her 8-year-old son and her boyfriend were killed in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 95 in North Carolina early Friday morning.
Family members confirmed for the Georgetown Times 38-year-old Grace “Vienna” Carl, 8-year-old Christopher Carl and Jerry Wayne “Jason” Thornburg were killed in Robeson County near the 10-mile marker.
The Fayetville Observer reports the three were in a sport utility vehicle when the accident occurred. It was reported to emergency officials at about 6:30 a.m. Friday but Maj. Tommy Barnes of the Lumberton Police Department told the Fayetville newspaper the accident may have occurred much earlier.
The wreckage was about 50 feet off the highway in a wooded median making it hard to see at night.
The Robesonian of Lumberton further reported the northbound vehicle ran off the left side of the road and hit trees before ending up on its side.
Vienna Carl is the daughter of Wesley and Wanda Cribb, an employee of the Georgetown County Clerk of Court’s office. They were on the way to visit family members in Maryland when the accident happened, Wanda Cribb said.
Christopher Carl was a Maryville Elementary School student.
Thornburg has lived on the Waccamaw Neck for about eight years.
Carl's other son, 10-year-old Tyler Carl was with his father and did not go on the trip, Cribb said.

This was the article in the Georgetown Times. We all miss Vienna very much!!!

I am so very sad to hear of her passing. I remember how just about everytime she was either with a substitute teacher or new to a class, She was always called VI-ee-nah, like the little sauages in a can. She always corrected folks with grace and a smile. Of Course, the rest of the class would always be snickering. She was such a pretty vibrant girl in High School with a fantastic sense of humor. I haven't seen her since before graduation, but somehow, I sit at this computer missing her.

Dear God; please comfort and bless the Cribb family. Heaven recieved a funny, beautiful new angel named Vienna. If her little boy was anything like her, he would be the other beautiful angel God recieved into Heaven on the day of him and his momma's passing.

It is truly sad that she passed; but I know that she is in a better place despite the tragic way it happened. I didn't know she had passed; but am thankful for this website and those who were informed. Vienna was truly a loving, wonderful person who always made you feel comfortable! May she continue smile down on us!
