GERING - Donna Lee Funk, 60, of Gering, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services were held Aug. 10 at Faith Lutheran Church in Gering with Pastors Richard Neugebauer and Ralph Morris officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Donna was born June 30, 1945 to Kenneth and Caroline (Klein) Klase in Scottsbluff. She was a life long resident of Gering. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church. She received her education in the Gering Public Schools and graduated from Gering High School in 1963. She married Stanley Funk on Aug. 17, 1974. She spent most of her married life as a stay-at-home mom caring for their two daughters. She was an active part of their childhood coaching their softball teams, coaching their Odyssey of the Mind teams, leading their Girl Scout Troops and everything in between. Donna loved crocheting and quilting. She enjoyed watching her two dogs Freeway and Maggi play. Donna is survived by her husband: Stanley Funk of Gering; and daughters: Lauralee Funk of Gering, and Stanna Funk of Cheyenne, Wyo.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents
