Ron was born in Scottsbluff on July 30, 1955, to Reinhardt and Janice Rahmig of Gering. He graduated from Gering High School in 1973. He married Deb Prichard Sullivan, in Casper, Wyo.

Through his life his main goal was to enjoy life. Ron loved fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, and just being with family and friends. He was a good-natured lovable man who loved family and friends above all. He lived in Kimball for 32 years; during this time he worked at Eaton Corporation, Robinson Drilling, Ron later operated Double R Flooring where he professionally laid carpet and tile where he took great pride in the jobs he performed. He later worked for the City of Kimball. Ron frequented Al’s Mini Mart where he met with the local “good ol boys” to have coffee. This was the good life. Then he moved to Gillette to work in the Coal Mines, and he now felt larger than life.

Most Sunday mornings you could find him at the lake, this was “his church.” Ron said the creatures were his teachers. Even in his final days he would go to the lake as often as he could.

He is survived by his wife, Deb Rahmig of Kimball; father, Reiny Rahmig of Gering; sisters, Karen Brown (Ken Schommer) of Bayard, Terry (Scott) Rajewich of Gering; children, Troy Rahmig, Sara (Rahmig) Recker, Tara (Rahmig) Sayers, Cindy Rahmig; step-children, Misty Coyle Jacobs, Clifford Coyle, Laura Johnson, Cody Coyle, Cassie Coyle, Lisa Sullivan, Mercedes Sullivan, and Kelly Rundell and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Preceding Ron in death was his mother, Janice Rahmig and both sets of grandparents.

He was met at the new fishing hole by his loving companion Jake the Labrador. He left behind his other crooked nose companion, Chewy to protect the house and take care of things here.
