Since 1988 I've just been livin' the dream! I remember in 8th or 9th grade, our whole class did a career field trip. The group I was in went to 98 KUPD. That was back when Dave Pratt was "thee" show to listen to, and the studio was a tiny single wide mobile home. It was quite a big group of us that went there. I actually followed thru with that career choice!!! Got my first gig in '93. Thats when I left the desert for the pacific northwest. If you've never been, your're missing out!! I've been all over Idaho and Oregon. I did spend a few years in Vail, Colorado, but that was waaay too expensive. So my wife and I (married in 2004) moved back to Oregon. I've worked in just about every format of radio there is. Currently I'm the Operations Manager for a 5 station cluster and the morning guy on our rock station. Like I said, just livin' the dream! |

See above about KUPD.
I was always pretty big into the speech and drama stuff. At speech competitions, in the "humorous" catagory, it was usually me and a guy from Dobson High that ended up in 1st and 2nd place at pretty much every tournament we went to. He was like my arch enemy. Well, I see this guy on a regular basis in TV commercials! A lot of TV spots are regional so you may or may not have seen the Dairy Queen spot he's in. He's the dad that comes home and his daughter built a "fort" out of the couch cushions. She corrects him and says it's not a fort, its a Dairy Queen. Anyway, that's the guy!! I shake my fist everytime I see him in a TV commercial, and he's in a ton of them. Once an arch enemy, always an arch enemy!! Not really! It's actually cool to see he's doing what he loves as well.
K, that's all I got for now. |

My wife Sheryl, Dillon is 20 months, and Megan is 1 month old
