Holy. Crap.

Okay-- who knows more about this? Pete was a fantastic guy, with a great sense of humor, quick wit, and sharp mind. Evidently, he went on to do some great stuff as a grown-up, too. I remember my dad telling me, at some point after graduation, that he'd heard Pete was working for the UN somewhere, saving the world (and, of course, condemning my own shallow life by example).

So...what happened???

Damn.

Our loss.

Whoa . . . that was a surprise to read about that one. Pete made a great diver because he was fearless. I remember getting extra credit by translating "Stairway to Heaven" into German with Pete's help. I think of him whenever I hear that song. Anyone with info, please post.

Does anyone know what happened?

The last time I saw him was in Munich, Germany at the HofbrÀuhaus. I was doing a semester abroad in London, and I have no idea why he was there. I walked in the place looking for a table and ran into him. It was nice seeing a familiar face in a foreign country- We partied together that night like we had been best friends forever...

According to his family, Peter succumbed to pneumonia, exacerbated by exhaustion.

Please, people...if you get sick-- go see a doctor. Ain't no reason anyone should die of pneumonia. I am disheartened to learn that's how Peter went. A damned shame.
