Glenbrook South High School
This is a great video put together by Mark
For those of you who may have missed the viewing during the 50th Gala and V-Show,
here's the link to our alumni video
produced by Mark Ferguson

As the first American astronaut orbited the earth, the cornfields below lining Lake Avenue between Pfingsten and Landwehr Roads were yielding to an unprecedented sight:  a brand spanking new high school with pillared entrance portico, atrium stairwell with glass roof, and roundhouse as gymnasium.

In August of 1962, Glenbrook South threw open its doors.

Half a century later, waves of new construction have tripled and transformed that first foundation, and the cornfields are gone.  Meanwhile, GBS has staked its enduring claim as “A Great American High School” while helping transform the lives of its 26,000 graduates.
