Barbara Storie
GOUVERNEUR -A memorial service for Barbara Storie, 39, of 27 John St., was held at Green Funeral Home with the Rev Jennifer M. Santer, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammond.
Ms. Storie died Monday night, April 28, 2003 in Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, of complications of diabetes.
Ms. Stone was a home-care health aide for the St Lawrence County Department of Social Services, Canton, and then was an activity director at Cambray Courts and Kinney Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 18, 1963, in Gouverneur, daughter of Lloyd and Iva Norton Storie, she graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1984 and attended Mater Dei College,
Ogdensburg. She enjoyed reading mystery and romance novels.
Surviving besides her mother, Iva Storie, of Gouverneur, are two sons, Jacob and Lucas, both at home; a brother, Chris Stone, Gouverneur; two half brothers, Robert Storie, Watertown, and John Stone, Cortland; a half sister, Isabelle Renne, Syracuse, nieces and nephews.
