Doug graduated from California State Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He then went to OCS (Officer Candidate School) in Quantico, VA, eventually earning the rank of Captain in the Marine Corps. He was stationed out of MCAS Miramar. He is still missed everyday.

I just found this website this evening and I am extremely sad to learn that Doug was killed. He was so brilliant and I am not surprised to learn that he became a successful engineer. He was so nice and very funny. What a terrible loss. I am sorry for his family and for all of us who knew what a great guy he was.
