After graduation I attended UND, and after changing my major several times I graduated with a degree in psychology in 1992.
I originally decided to pursue law school with an eye towards a potential career in the FBI. Eventually I decided against a law enforcement career, but nevertheless graduated from the UND School of Law in 1996. Law school was actually pretty fun, particularly the summer after the first year when several friends and I spent a summer in Oslo, Norway as part of an exchange program. From there we took the Eurail throughout much of Europe. It was one of the best summers of my life.
After two years of clerking for a judge in Crookston, and two years of working at a firm in GF, I went out on my own in 2001. For the past seven-plus years, I've practiced primarily in the area of real estate title work. It's not exactly glamorous, but I enjoy it.
Shortly after our 10-year reunion, Kathy Gillies and I started dating, and we were married in 2000. We have two girls--Gillian and Maggie. Needless to say, I'm glad I decided to attend the 10-year!
Kathy and I had a great time at the 20-year, and are definitely looking forward to the 25-year.
