Thought I would share this...enjoy!!

NO EXCUSES!!!

If you are NOT coming to the reunion, you need a good excuse and a note from your Mom. The following reasons have been tried and are UNacceptable:
Excuse #1: I've gained a lot of weight!
Rebuttal: Look around!! I doubt any of us could get back into our jeans from high school any more.
Excuse #2: I'm a different person than I was in high school.
Rebuttal: Lucky for you, we ALL are. Let's face it: we could only have improved.
Excuse #3: I don't look as good as I'd like. I (choose one or more) am bald, have wrinkles, saddlebags, grey hair and no one will recognize me.
Rebuttal: Guess what! You won't recognize anyone else, either. Our whole class looks like a "before" photo in a plastic surgery ad (just kidding).
Excuse #4: I'm not successful. I'm not (choose one or more) a lawyer, a doctor or rich.
Rebuttal: You'll be pleasantly surprised to find how much everyone has matured. We may be plump and wrinkled (see Excuse #3, above) but we're not stupid. Money is not success.  You have found success when you are happy doing what you're doing!
Excuse #5: I was not in a popular clique in school.
Rebuttal: Now that we're older and smarter, those cliques have dissolved just like the superficialities they were based on. The only cliques you'll notice at the reunion will be the sound of your joints as you walk around.
Excuse #6: It seems like all the classmates drink alcohol at the reunion.
Rebuttal: Not all of us drink - plain and simple. Some of us only have a few drinks at the reunion to relax (cause we're nervous) but if you don't want to drink alcohol there'll be plenty of other drinks available.

Hi - just want to thank you for this site.  I can not be there with bells on by toes or otherwise.  Hopefully this site will get bigger with the CHS classmates attending AND then learning about it.  Enjoy seeing the photos.  Thank you!  We look so young!!! Naive and conservative!!!

For some who may not have known, my foster sister was Mary Wolfgram - Jodock.

Looking forward to seeing you all at this weekend!  Athough the committee has been working hard to make it a fun-filled event, it couldn't happen with all of you there.  See you Friday!!!!!!

Vicki Schneeweis (CHS) (Sundeen)

I would love to be there but with my job as a manager at penneys in Nebraska I just can't. We are in our busy time with back to school. And it just wouldn't be a good time. Would love to see so many of you that I haven't seen in years!!! Have a great time and I will be thinking of you all wishing I was there with you. Hopefully you post pictures and stories for me to look at.

Hello Class of 74!

I just want to thank the reunion committee, those with the microphones and those behind the scenes,

for planning and carrying off such an awesome event! The program was outstanding! I had the time of my life! So glad I returned to reconnect with my former classmates and forever friends! I am very proud to be a Roughrider and from Grand Forks, North Dakota!

Until next time,

Lindsay Auer Dorris

For those of you who were not able to attend the reunion, you were missed!  For all of you who were able to attend, it was wonderful to reconnect with so many faces of the past!  The planning committee went above and beyond to plan a reunion that would be enjoyable for everyone!  There was so much energy in the room (and hallway, and bar!) at the Friday night social!  Chatting with a beverage in hand (or not!) by the Country Club pool  was a perfect way to start the Saturday night events!  The buffet dinner was delicious, and the special program was fabulous!  There was so much talent showcased throughout the program...eloquent speaking, quick-witted humor to keep us all laughing, amazing musical skills, and wonderful vocal skills!  The tribute to classmates who have passed away was greatly appreciated and beautifully delivered.  It was fun (and frustrating) to try to guess the songs and artists of the 70's!  Now...how about making those great RR/Central T-shirts available for purchase??? (For those of us who couldn't remember song titles and artists if our lives depended on it!  I easily remember lyrics, but that wasn't any help!). What a memorable weekend...one I will treasure forever!  I regret that I didn't have a chance to talk to everyone I would've liked to, but for those of you who spent a few minutes or a longer time visiting with me...thank you!  The Class of 1974, both Red River and Central, is an awesome group!  Grand Forks will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for friendships that have withstood the test of time!

Glad you enjoyed them, Pat!  I'm still working on getting pictures downloaded from the photographer from last night.  I just added links on the "Reunion Photos" page to download the slideshow from Saturday night's program.  Thanks again for coming!!
